Armenian Cultural Day Celebrations Brings School Community Together

For the fourteenth consecutive year, St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School (SSAES) of Watertown held its annual Armenian Cultural Day celebrations on its campus at the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center on Thursday, October 24, 2013.  The event gathered students, teachers, administrators, and student-families together to commemorate the rich cultural heritage shared by Armenians around the world.

St. Stephen's Day School Expansion Opening on October 14

The St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School (SSAES) of Watertown, Massachussetts this week announced that its campus expansion construction project, launched on June 15, 2012, was completed on August 31, and met the school’s goal of opening for the 2012-13 academic year. The Grand Opening Ceremony for the expanded building will take place on-site at 46 Elton Ave. in Watertown on Sunday, October 14 at 12 p.m.

St. Stephen's Armenian Elementary School Honored in Massachusetts

On April 15, 2011 at the 96th Anniversary Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide at the Massachusetts State House, the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the State Senate honored the St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School of Watertown and the Armenian Sisters’ Academy of Lexington with a Joint House and Senate Resolution recognizing the contribution of both schools in perpetuating the Armenian culture, history and language.

St. Stephen's School celebrated its 25 years

More than 350 friends and supporters of the St. Stephen’s Armenian Elementary School (SSAES) of Watertwon, Massachussetts, gathered on November 20 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel to celebrate the school’s 25 years of dedication to Armenian education. The Gala Celebration, presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of Eastern United States, raised approximately $150,000 in funds for the school.
Dr. Avak Kahvejian was the event’s master of ceremonies, while Rouzan Abrahamian headed  the Gala Committee.
